Bluetooth range weak

I have issues with bluetooth range on my Dell XPS 25 (9550).
The laptop has Broadcom bluetooth. At first it wasn't even working because firmware for this device was missing, so I took hex file from my Windows 10 installation and converted it to hcd file.
Bluetooth now works but has terrible "range". I have Bose bluetooth speaker. It's maybe three meters from my laptop. Never had any issues on my old laptop and everything works fine on my new laptop in Windows, but in Arch it only work if the speaker is really close to my laptop.
Any ideas?

Re: Bluetooth range weak

I also notice this. Another thing I have a problem with is interference if I use a bluetooth mouse with the built in Bluetooth transceiver it jumps around and lags. I have a feeling it has to do with it being in the same card as the wifi. Windows users report issues with the bluetooth also.

Yeah, I read about that. I plan on replacing the Broadcom wifi/bluetooth card with the Intel one (once 3x3 card from Intel becomes available).
