Dzen2 clickable areas are not responding

Hello,
dzen2-git is installed from the aur , just to be sure that I use a dzen2-version which supports clickable-areas.
Here's the part where I want to try out this feature.

d="^ca(button1, exec xterm)$(wifi)^ca()"
d="$d$(battery)"
d="$d$(cpu)"
d="$d$(volume)"
d="$d$(date_time)"
echo $d

When I click on my wifi-area, nothing happens, although i clearly expected a new xterm window.
I currently do not really know if the command in ^ca(ACTION, COMMAND)TEXT^ca() should be a bash-command or a dzen2-command
(example: use exec xterm or exec:xterm?), however both versions do not work.
Btw, I dont have any man-page under man dzen2.
