Re: Chromium 34: SSL ERROR

Partial updates are not supported. You can try to build the old version against current libraries, but who knows.

Considering you don't get security updates with the old version, it seems very foolish to me to do this.

Re: Chromium 34: SSL ERROR

You can go to the package site https://www.archlinux.org/packages/extr … /chromium/  -> Source Files -> log
Then look for the desired version and download the snapshot tarball.

Re: Chromium 34: SSL ERROR

I SOLVED installing an old version of nss (Mozilla Network Security Services):

# pacman -U http://seblu.net/a/archive/packages/n/nss/nss-3.17-1-i686.pkg.tar.xz

why chromium uses a Mozilla programs?

Re: Chromium 34: SSL ERROR

ops, with that nss firefox doesn't work:

$ firefox
XPCOMGlueLoad error for file /usr/lib/firefox/libxul.so:
/usr/lib/libnss3.so: version `NSS_3.19' not found (required by /usr/lib/firefox/libxul.so)
Couldn't load XPCOM.

how can i solved?

EDIT:
i temporary solved with:

$ sudo pacman -U http://seblu.net/a/archive/packages/n/nss/nss-3.19.1-1-i686.pkg.tar.xz

Re: Chromium 34: SSL ERROR

quellen,

You are not maintaining your system properly.  What you are doing is eventually going to break it.  No matter "how much you hate" newer versions of Chromium, if you choose to keep doing what you're doing don't expect much sympathy when you come here with the eventual problems it's going to cause.

Not to mention the numerous security holes v34 has compared to v51.  Bad idea no matter how you slice it.
