Has anyone encountered strange behavior regarding sd card support?
It becomes total mess when I connect two sd cards via USB adapters to my computer.
One sd card holds encrypted /boot partition and MBR and is connected before I switch on the computer. Then if I want to connect another sd card to a running system and format it, gnome-disk-utility doesn't recognize it. dmesg says that kernel/udev assigned different letters to those devices (e.g. sdi and sdj) but gnome-disk-utility doesn't see second card and what's more strange nautilus tries to unmount my encrypted /boot partition instead of second card (but the right one is present in left panel - I can tell that because capacity is different!!!)
I can workaround this by using console and explicitly typing sd card names to fdisk and mkfs.* but other users are annoyed when they cannot "safely remove" sd from nautilus and I'm a bit uncomfortable about the possibility of accidental destruction of boot device.

Sounds like the issues are with the Gnome suite, not the SD cards. You might want to clarify that in the title.
Also, moving this thread to "Applications ans Desktop Environments" as this seems (to me) that the hardware and kernel are just fine.
