Just wondering is someone has the same issue? No sound when T460 connected with Lenovo ThinkPad Ultra Dock. Any idea?

Thank you for replaying Elizine. Unfortunately given link explain external video issue on W7.
My issue is with no sound from Ultra Dock and T460 from jack audio port. On laptop all working fine but not from port replicator.

1.0 out of 5 starsBeware this version of docking station - it has internal bugs!

The version I received has a known-to-Lenovo faulty internal wiring, and I had to finally resort to a local bricks and mortar service center to sort out the problem and get Lenovo to issue a replacement docking station with the newly revised internal wiring. Why Lenovo does not do a recall on all their docking stations with this internal problem is unacceptable, but now that this seller knows of the problem, they should send back all their Lenovo docking stations and demand they be replaced with the newer ones that have been fixed inside.
I bought two of Lenovo ThinkPad Ultra Dock 90W 40A20090UK circa 1.5 month ago and on my Arch Linux with KDE had the same audio issue on both. I need to test my laptop with another good working workstation and also these 2 docks with another perhaps Windows based laptop which working fine 100% with dock.

I would suggest following this: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/ASUS_N550JV#Audio
Or this also might help (tho think before you type - it's just a dump tutorial): https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Us … xzcx#Sound

Already check and all OK. Sound appearing from laptop aux audio jack but unfortunately still no sound from aux audio jack docking station.

OK so I did it test with another laptop Lenovo T450 and another dock Lenovo ThinkPad Pro Dock 40A10090US
Lenovo T450 with Windows 7 out of box working fine (audio port) with my docking station Lenovo ThinkPad Ultra Dock 40A20090UK so docking station is fully working and it must be something with missing driver in Arch or audio settings or any bug.
I thinking to report it as bug.

Alsa doesn't detect your dock. It's a known bug but it should be solved, it doesn't make sense.

Thank you for letting me know.

This has been solved now by adding:
echo "options snd-hda-intel model=tpt460" > /etc/modprobe.d/alsadock.conf
