Secure boot Asus, without compatibility module

I followed the Secure Boot guidelines here for my Asus board. The guidelines worked nearly perfectly.

The only problem I ran into is not being able to boot without the Compatibility Support Module turned on. I'm guessing I need to place a key on my ssd, or sign my uefi video card.

Any help would be appreciated having CSM turned on increases boot time.

Anyone know of a possible fix for Asus boards?

Re: Secure boot Asus, without compatibility module

I don't know about ASUS specifically but one of my UEFI laptops will *only* boot non-UEFI systems when "CSM" or "Legacy" mode is enabled.

Perhaps yours is the same -- try installing a non-UEFI bootloader and see if it works then.

Re: Secure boot Asus, without compatibility module

It'll boot it correctly, if secure boot is disabled. I'm going to have to figure out if I need to sign the Linux NVidia driver. In efi systems that driver gets loaded early right?
