So, when do you put "rezlooks" in your repo?

Put cimi's repo above dtw's in pacman.conf.

Nice one cimi, but it's still in heavy development, I was just sharing what I had so far. The code in the first rezlooks.diff was really quite ugly, doing stupid things like making a gradient from one colour to the same colour instead of just drawing a flat rectangle.

I've been busy with it the last couple of days and have pretty much sorted the code out, and I'm going to make a "proper" release soon - ie a release that is just the rezlooks engine, nothing else, and that won't conflict with clearlooks on the same machine.

Watch this space wink

IMHO, instead of creating yet another theme engine, you should add your changes to clearlooks and submit a patch allowing the rezlooks features to be optional from within clearlooks themes. This is much like using glossy scrollbars vs. plain or animated progress bars.

Clearlooks, now with 50% less ugly.

Can you post a diff or a patch for your clearlooks modifications ?

http://alpha.hostingbeyond.co.uk/~rezza … looks.diff

ehh, how can I use this file? not very familiar with filepatching.... :oops:

Get the gtk-engines source code from gnome cvs, then from the gtk-engines base directory, run "patch -p0 </path/to/rezlooks.diff". Then build and install the modified code normally.

hi rezza, which font is that one?

I just wanted to quote a quote that was qouted a few more times.

Why?

Geez... my head is starting to hurt.

Hmm, because May be he want the arch in this thread??

Updated using rezlooks-engine, and the rezlook-gilouche gtk theme.
Here is a PKGBUILD for SuSE's gtk themes

#Contributor: Martin Pieuchot <t1tamar>

pkgname=gtk2-suse-themes
pkgver=1
pkgrel=1
pkgdesc="Additional GTK2 Themes from OpenSuSE : Gilouche, Chlorophyll, Synchronicity and GreyGilouche"
url=""
depends=('gtk-engines')
makedepends=('rpmextract')
source=("ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/i386/supplementary/GNOME/update_for_10.0/base/gnome2-SuSE-10.1-29.noarch.rpm")
md5sums=('bc27bc4f838f396584f9108b81ca4119')

build() {
    rpmextract.sh gnome2-SuSE-10.1-29.noarch.rpm

    cd $startdir/src/opt/gnome/share/themes/

    mkdir -p $startdir/pkg/opt/gnome/share/themes

    cp -r Chlorophyll Gilouche GreyGilouche Synchronicity
    $startdir/pkg/opt/gnome/share/themes/

}

The program isn't debugged until the last user is dead.

It's about time we see a screenshot that doesn't look like every other screenshot (*cough* openbox *cough*). And while I'm not a huge fan of black and white, that is very well done, nice!
