Default mouse pointer

Hi,

Does anybody knows where are located the files that determines the default mouse pointer for X/gnome?

Thanks,
Max.

Re: Default mouse pointer

To get truly default/system-wide cursors, you can create /usr/share/icons/default/index.theme to contain something like

[icon theme]
Inherits=justblue

where your cursors folder is in /usr/share/icons/justblue. That gives you decent cursors even at the kdm login screen for example.

Re: Default mouse pointer

Hi, thank you all,

in /usr/share/icons/ there's no default theme, anyway, what I need to know is where are located the default pointers in ARCH 0.7.1 / gnome 2.14.1.

Thanks,
Max.

The method that was mentioned does work, you just have to create that directory and provide the needed theme file. This will set the cursor theme for any X environment on your system.
