ata1: Exception Emask 0x1 & radeon 0000:01:00.0: VCE init error (-110)

Hi,

I'm booting from a USB drive, and it seems to boot up fine, but I get an infinite loop of errors every 2-3 seconds, so it's hard to do anything.

The machine I'm using is an HP Envy 15 using UEFI. See picture

Anyone know what this could be?

Nothing like that on my Envy 17 Touch.  Short term workaround would be to flip to the second console using Ctrl-Alt-F2 so you don't see all the noise on tty1.
Then you can diagnose in peace.

Is this the install media, or did you actually install Arch to a USB drive?

I'll give it a go.

No this is the install media. I hashed the iso just to be sure it's a true copy, made the usb installer two times using different programs and even checked the usb drive for errors to be sure.

Thanks. smile
