[SOLVED] Fans run full speed after wake up on ASUS UX303LN

After a wake up from sleep my laptop fans (one for CPU and one for GPU) go full speed. I have an arch installation with the latest stock kernel. I'm aware of this post, but the workaround there doesn't work. After a cold start, the picture I get from sensors is following:

acpitz-virtual-0
Adapter: Virtual device
temp1: +41.0°C (crit = +108.0°C)
temp2: +27.8°C (crit = +105.0°C)
temp3: +29.8°C (crit = +105.0°C)

pch_wildcat_point-virtual-0
Adapter: Virtual device
temp1: +40.5°C

asus-isa-0000
Adapter: ISA adapter
cpu_fan: 0 RPM
temp1: +41.0°C

coretemp-isa-0000
Adapter: ISA adapter
Physical id 0: +42.0°C (high = +105.0°C, crit = +105.0°C)
Core 0: +42.0°C (high = +105.0°C, crit = +105.0°C)
Core 1: +42.0°C (high = +105.0°C, crit = +105.0°C)

with the "cpu_fan" value reacting properly to speed changes. Moreover, I can control the fan speed by echoing some values to /sys/class/hwmon/hwmon2/pwm1 (which corresponds to asus-isa-0000).

Now, after a suspend and a wake up the fan goes full speed ("cpu_fan"= ~25k) and echoing values to pwm1 no longer takes any effect. The values of /sys/class/thermal/cooling_device*/cur_state stay at 0 both before and after suspend and changing them also takes no effect. I suspect bumblebee but it could also be anything else (unfortunately I did a large system upgrade and installed bumblebee the same day). How can I approach the issue?

P.S.: strangely enough, restarting the system (doesn't matter which OS is booted afterwards) doesn't calm the fans down, only the cold start (via power-off -> power-on), which makes me think that the issue must be ACPI-related and rather low level. I have no idea what I'm talking about smile

Ok, looks like the issue is gone with the latest kernel update (4.6.2-1-ARCH)
