After upgrading Linux from 4.5.4-1 to 4.6.2-1 trying to mount a CIFS network share with the 'guest' option not longer works:
# mount -t cifs -o guest //host/share /mountpoint
mount error(22): Invalid argument
The invalid argument appears to be '-o guest'. Leaving this portion out succeeds albeit with the system prompting for a password before mounting the share.
Downgrading linux to 4.5.4 resolves the issue.
Is anyone else hitting this problem and if so, have you found a fix? If not, where should I raise this issue?

Following up on my original post, the following bug report mentions that this should be fixed in kernel 4.7.
