I know there is an unofficial GRip package, but maybe it could be shifted to extra?  It works fine!

    Grip is Gnome desktop cd-player and cd-ripper.

if "twm" decides that it is worth including to the official repos, he/she would have moved it to staging in the TUR's ... email the TU's to tur-users@lists.berlios.de to ask about it
