I thought actual arch init process simpler than it.

slightly dated as it kinda leaves the whole initrd/initramfs setup out of the picture entirely.
It's also covers the sysv type init scripts rather than the more bsd like scripts Arch uses.

There are much more mistakes in it and it seems very distribution-specific. Read /etc/inittab, /etc/rc.sysinit and the bootscripts from initrd yourself, then you will understand the boot process much better.

True, but it's still a good read as it gives understanding of one boot process. By having a basic understanding of one system, understanding another is easier, no?
