MacBook Pro / intel_pstate issues

Anyone running Arch Linux on a MacBook Pro 11,x and experience problems with CPU frequency scaling:

I just updated the AUR package linux-macbook-pro that includes the most recent intel_pstate code I back-ported to 4.6.

I have been testing it for a few days now and so far it seems to be functioning much better than before -- no more getting stuck at 800Mhz.

If anyone reading this could test and report back, I'd be curious to hear about others experiences with the new code in place.

For anyone else experiencing issues with intel_pstate (dropping to 800Mhz, not scaling right after resuming from suspend) you could try this kernel as well. The patch for suspend support will only work by appending boot arguments to the kernel, and I'm assuming the gmux device won't initialize since there's no hardware to attach to.

I appreciate any and all feedback on this!

Re: MacBook Pro / intel_pstate issues

I never noticed any issues previously, upgraded yesterday and still working fine for me so far. I'm not sure if it's my imagination or not, but on the positive side it seems like my CPU temps are slightly cooler since the last upgrade.

Re: MacBook Pro / intel_pstate issues

Just a FYI linux-macbook-pro has been renamed in the AUR to just linux-macbook after extensive testing of suspending as well as the backported intel_pstate driver on my MacBook Air.
