[Solved] docker can't pull images: x509 cert issues

running 4.6.2-1-ARCH with kde5 plasma, fresh install on macbook pro mid-2015. At first i thought it was a general cert issue because i was having cert issues with other apps. git and konquerer both complained about failed certs on everything though after trying to solve my docker problem i have since solved those two. after a 'trust extract-compat', they no longer balk. docker still complains though and i can't pull any images

[root@wn1 projects]# docker pull ubuntu:16.04
Pulling repository docker.io/library/ubuntu
Error while pulling image: Get https://index.docker.io/v1/repositories … ntu/images: x509: failed to load system roots and no roots provided

There are something some github issues opened on this but trying their solutions only got me this far, this doesnt look like a very common issue so im convinced im just overlooking something simple. Im aware arch recently (in the past 2 years, so maybe not really "recent" lol) switched up their paths to various certs and cert bundles but beyond that im at a loss. what am i missing here?

Disregard this. it seemed to sort itself out. I rebooted after pacman -Syu'ing and now it pulls images like nothings wrong. no further issues. maybe i just needed to reboot after updating my certs? eitherway nevermind!
