Could others using VIA Unichrome video hardware please try out the new xf86-video-unichrome package in the Testing repository? If it causes any weird stuff, e.g. washed-out colors on your monitor, please report it here:

I always had problem with this driver (my monitor switch to suspend and the only way to wake it up was to power off or reboot, doh). Wasn't the xf86-video-via driver better ? I use it with no problem at all (and better performances, actually) :?
Excessive showering, grooming, and toothbrushing is not only vain, it wastes valuable coding time.

For version 0.2.3 yes. xf86-video-unichrome 0.2.5 adds some interesting new stuff.
(FWIW I never had any problems with 0.2.3, never acted any different than xf86-video-via for me until this version.)

So, what became of this driver? I'm very curious.
Sadly, I don't have this computer with me anymore. I gave it to my dad, and I have since upgraded it to an older nvidia card that gets better FPS in GLXgears. The onboard video of these via boards are real slouches. But if I did have it with me, I'd have to tinker with it like a new broken toy.
