Teamspeak3 blocking the sound output of Spotify

Hi folks,

I have the following problem:

When I start Spotify (installed from the AUR) i listen to music, as far as good, but when I start Teamspeak3 (also installed from the AUR) the sound from spotify stops, but the song is still playing.
I get this error under the Gnome DE and under the i3WM WM.

This only occurs with Teamspeak and Spotify. I cann listen to music through cmus or youtube (for  example) while having an instance of Teamspeak3 open.

Any suggestions?

Re: Teamspeak3 blocking the sound output of Spotify

Which soundsystem do you use? can you post your ALSA configuration files? do you use pulseaudio? To which card is Teamspeak resp. Spotify set to play to? This behaviour is normal if you set your output source to be anything other than the default card (which should allow software mixing, barring no other configuration). Can you post

sudo fuser -v /dev/snd/*

Teamspeak just mutes your current audio program, so just unmute it.
At least unter pulse it works like this.
