I am trying to install the driver for Brothers MFC 7360N from here: http://support.brother.com/g/b/download … all&os=127
I downloaded the Driver Install Tool (comes in a .gz file) and unpacked it with gunzip. However, installing the driver with
sudo bash linux-brprinter-installer-2.0.0-1 Brother MFC-7360N
gives the error
Rpm or dpkg is required
I do have cups and other dependencies installed. What is the problem here?

Use the AUR package: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/brother-mfc7360n/

Thanks! Any idea why that is not on the wiki page https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/CU … c_problems?

No-one has bothered to add it. Also, the number of packages in the AUR would make it difficult, and probably unwise, to list all of them on the wiki.
