Did the kernel upgrade include a systemd upgrade? If so, re-image initramfs.

Hi madpierre
Not sure there was a systemd upgrade.
tried:
mkinitcpio -p linux
but same as.
I think the issue is probably at video rendering, though vlc is running fine.

Temporarily theres a fix as I downgraded to the linux-lts.
Youtube is running fine, but virtualbox needed a fix.

Anyways is there a solution I can retain linux 4.6 or not?

The problem persists as updated: linux. But no issue in linux-lts.
$ pacman -Ss linux |grep core |grep 4.6 |grep base
core/linux 4.6.3-1 (base) [installed]
$ pacman -Ss linux-lts |grep 'linux-lts 4.4.14-1 '
core/linux-lts 4.4.14-1 [installed]
If there is no settings issue; should I file a bug for linux package?
Thankyou

That's entirely up to you- your choice.
I've received the same upgrades but haven't experienced any issues. (Host= Arch; Guest= Arch, Mint, and Debian) However, I've read a number of complaints similar to yours. My only thoughts are to ensure that the Kernel headers were upgraded and make sure that no conflicting packages were installed during the upgrade (occasionally users remove a package that conflicts with another but fail to blacklist (Ignore) further upgrades of the "troublemaker" in pacman.conf). Of course, you should be running the latest Firefox as well. (I wouldn't be surprised if a Firefox upgrade is forthcoming.) I will also note that, in the past, I've not had great results running Arch as a guest on a Debian or Mint host. Hopefully one of the forum wizards will have a suggestion or two.
