Question: If logging in thru KDM, is .xinitrc used at all?

..because if not, I have to put my extra boot scripts in rc.local .

for goin thru kdm you have to cagneh in /etc/inttab id:5:default so your .xinitrc file is not used.

IIRC you can make KDM use your .xinitrc if you select session "normal" or something, you might try the different sessions and see.

Ok, cheers Titus wink

I'm using KDM atm, but wasn't sure how changing the run level affected the use of .xinitrc
