Asus UX501VW Touchpad not recognized?

Hello,

I have installed libinput & the xf86 wrapper, when listing the libinput devices:

9.975] (II) Using input driver 'libinput' for 'Power Button'
[     9.987] (II) Using input driver 'libinput' for 'Asus Wireless Radio Control'
[     9.988] (II) Using input driver 'libinput' for 'Video Bus'
[     9.989] (II) Using input driver 'libinput' for 'Video Bus'
[     9.991] (II) Using input driver 'libinput' for 'Sleep Button'
[    10.043] (II) Using input driver 'libinput' for 'USBest Technology SiS HID Touch Controller'
[    10.049] (II) Using input driver 'libinput' for 'USB2.0 HD UVC WebCam'
[    10.053] (II) Using input driver 'libinput' for 'FTE1001:00 0B05:0101'
[    10.060] (II) Using input driver 'libinput' for 'Asus WMI hotkeys'
[    10.064] (II) Using input driver 'libinput' for 'AT Translated Set 2 keyboard'

I assume that the USBest HiD Touch controller is actually the touchscreen, which makes me think the FTE1001:00 0B05:0101 is supposed to be the touchpad.

Touch pad works, but can't configure it in gnome (no palm detection, no scrolling, ...)

Any thoughts? Or does the kernel not recognize this model yet?

I didn't have tap to click on gnome wayland until I logged into gnome x11 and the option to enable it magically appeared. Not sure if yours is a similar problem.
