menu items in gnome2, fluxbox, windowmaker etc...

my question is are you guys working with some kind of menu system for the apps or should i make the links through the install files ?

then i can make evolution, gnumeric and sodipodi apear in the menu's  smile

nope, everything is vinilla.. but some sorta functionality to pacman to add new apps to window manager menus would be a good idea...

for now that will have to do you. another much needed feature is optional depends. for example say a package needs GL or mesa it would look for both then continue build as long as one was present. there are lots of packages that have optional depends especially when you get into games.

Think there will be one problem:

if you make the links for fluxbox and someone installs the package without having fluxbox, this user will get links which he/she will never use.

you could make it so.... that it checks if a windowmanager/desktop env is installed....
the problem you get then if someone installs another wm the menus should be regenrated ..
