Hi everyone,
Yesterday i installed arch linux ( followed the arch installation guide) on my Acer Aspire E5-511G which has an NVIDIA 810M (optimus), then i followed the wiki for installing bumblebee, but when trying to run glxgears or glxspheres64 preceded by optirun or primusrun the laptop systematically freezes and all i can do is forcing it to shutdown.
here is the output of lspci | egrep 'VGA|3D'
[fateh@CHINOOK ~]$ lspci | egrep 'VGA|3D'
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Atom Processor Z36xxx/Z37xxx Series Graphics & Display (rev 0e)
01:00.0 3D controller: NVIDIA Corporation GF117M [GeForce 610M/710M/810M/820M / GT 620M/625M/630M/720M] (rev ff)
[fateh@CHINOOK ~]$
and here is the output once i did sudo echo ON >> /proc/acpi/bbswitch
[fateh@CHINOOK ~]$ lspci | egrep 'VGA|3D'

I downloaded manjaro kde and it booted with both graphics cards working as they're supposed to. But once installed, it couldn't boot i tried nomodeset i915.modeset=0 nouveau.modeset=0 and still couldn't get it to boot so i reverted back to arch linux and copied the xorg files and bumblebee folder from manjaro but still can't get the nvidia card to work.

So, are you now running Arch or Manjaro? Because only Arch is supported here..

He clearly stated, that he first installed Arch, then tried Manjaro to observe a possible delta, and then installed Arch again, keeping the settings he saw in Manjaro in mind.
