Hi there!
I'm looking for more info about DirectX 11 support in Wine.
I've seen people on youtube stress-testing dx10/dx11 apps, launching simple benchmarks and so forth.
I'd like to get into it and join the party, but I can't seem to find required info.
How do I enable / force DirectX 11 in newer versions of Wine?
Where can I find relevant and reliable news on the topic besides official WineHQ homepage? Blog posts and news pages I've found so far are, unfortunately, very often misleading and inaccurate.
I'd also like to track progress on both Wine and Cedega side, but the latter one seems to be updated very sparsely.

I'd say just grab the latest Wine or Wine-Staging package and try to run your DirectX 11 game. If it crashes, check the Wine AppDb/BugDb for any known issues and if there is none for the crash you're having, create a bug report for the missing/broken function implementations.
The WineHQ site is the best place to keep track of the API implementation status afaik.

Thanks you for a quick and thorough reply.
It turns out that I've got Hard Reset Redux game which is DX11 only, so I'll do as you said. I'd like to see progress on newer DirectX implementations for obvious reasons.

Omar007 is right. We're working on it, but it's early days yet. We have some DX11 games working, Gauntlet for example, but most won't yet. It's mostly three or four people playing catchup with Microsoft's entire graphics development team, so there's lots of work left to do.
If you want to financially support DX11 development, the best way is to buy a copy of CrossOver from Codeweavers (my employer). We employ the main Wine DirectX developers and would greatly appreciate your support. Their salaries don't come out of thin air
