I just tried to do an update and got a failure
:: Starting full system upgrade...
resolving dependencies...
looking for conflicting packages...
error: unresolvable package conflicts detected
error: failed to prepare transaction (conflicting dependencies)
:: jade and opensp are in conflict
Now I don't know what either jade or opensp are, but they are there because docboox2x needs jade and gnucash needs libofx which needs opensp (I used "pacman -r" to check this).
I presume this conflict is new because things were fine through prior updates, although I confess that the last was done a while back (May 20th).
I can see that jade was added as a conflict in the opensp PKGBUILD on 6/20 and that it was removed on 6/21. Also, opensp was added as a conflict in the jade PKGBUILD on 6/21.
I believe the change is due to this ticket FS#49775.
I removed docbook2x and jade so that I could upgrade.
After upgrading I am unable to reinstall docbook2x due to the conflict between jade and opensp.
Any advice appreciated. Should I raise a comment on FS#49775 ?

I ended up replacing jade with openjade to get around the conflict

Yes, I did the same thing
$ pacman -S docbook2x openjade
Very obscure, and I'm not sure I would have found that without asking. So thanks for the suggestion to use openjade.
