[Solved] problem with the display of png images

Hi,

I've been facing a problem which is that when I try to display a .png on my computer I just can't.

For instance I will type : eog name.png &

And eog display a window which contain the following statement : Could not load image 'name.png'. Unrecognized image file format.

I just don't see what to do, I tryed to search in order to get my problem solved by myself but I just can't get it done.

Do you have libpng installed?

Yes i had it installed and updated nevertheless I have solved my issue by uninstalling eog and reinstalling it ... seems pretty weird to me but it works fine now

Btw thanks for your quick response and I guess I should have tried that before asking for help x)
