After updating to Plasma 5.7 compositing is always turned off after startup. I can turn it on manually by pressing Ctrl-Shift-F12 (sometimes I have to press this combination multiple times for it to work), and then it works fine, but after the next startup it's off again.
This didn't happen before the update (i.e. with Plasma 5.6).
I'm using up-to-date open-source Intel drivers, with my Intel 4400 (Haswell) GPU. This happens both with OpenGL 2.0 and OpenGL 3.1 backends (with GLX; EGL doesn't work well on my system in any case).
Thanks in advance for any possible tips on how to solve this.

I'm having the same issue. Doesn't seem to be fixed in 5.7.1 either. I think it's Alt+Shift+F12 to enable/disable compositing.
