For some reason after I connect to my wireless with wifi-menu every GTK thing becomes really really slow. Clicking/scrolling takes 5-10 seconds. I see this with context menus and stuff in Sublime text as well as anything else that uses GTK, like my file manager. I have absolutely no clue how the two of these could be connected. I know for a fact that this is the cause; done lots and lots of troubleshooting. I run awesomewm and the latest kernel.
Already tried everything from the issues everyone was having a month or two ago with xf86-video-intel/latest kernel version. This is not the same issue.
I'd be happy to supply any other information needed. I'm really pulling my hair out over this one.

Just a hunch. Is your hostname set properly? What are the output of hostnamectl ?
You explicitly stated wireless. What about a wired connection?

Unfortunately I don't have access to any wired connections. I'll check the hostname tomorrow when I get back to work. Whenever the GTK application freezes network usages blows up. I think it's scanning the entire network or something like that. I have no idea why GTK would do this though.
