Wow, really sad to hear this. His videos were always very informative and helped me really get into Arch over the past 18 months. I checked his channel at least every couple of days and was surprised to his name at the top of list of new posts just now here on the Arch forum.

I'm positive that his videos will still help many users for a long time to come.

The most gentle and nice person I have met online. I felt him as a friend even if I never really known him.

Rip , good guy who made some great help and tutorial videos and helped out everyone that commented, I thought he was only a young fella by his voice.

Dan aka midfingr was a very helpful linux'er and youtuber.

After watching some of his Arch Linux videos I once sent him a PM through youtube, saying I knew he must be busy, and that I understood if he could not reply. I asked for help with this and that with Arch Linux. To my surprise and delight, he answered my questions. I only had contact with Dan a couple of times in that way, but I know he must have been a good man, very patient and helpful even to faceless youtube viewers.
