If KDE Plasma 5 makes CPU temp (sometimes) so high

If you're using KDE Plasma 5 and some programs make CPU temperature high, (80~90℃) try turning off "Enable taskbar notification" in Applications - Launch Feedback.

I had this problem with Okular. Whenever I opened Okular, Okular icon on taskbar "rotates" quite a long time and plasmashell suddenly eats 30% of CPU. As I wrote, turning off "Enable taskbar notification" solved it. It lowered temp about 20℃ surprisingly.

It is obviously a bug which should be fixed, but at least this workaround may help some people. :^)

Re: If KDE Plasma 5 makes CPU temp (sometimes) so high

thanks. In my case it was devouring the battery of my laptop, the cpu fan was running all the time...

edit: I think this is the entry in the bug tracking system https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=356479
