Hi guys.
After an installation on my desktop at home, I got a funny problem. My network is working fine, but when I'm upgrading with pacman - it sometimes stop at 99% ? Then I have to stop the upgrade byu pressing CTRL+C , and then run the upgrade again - then pacman is starting on 99% and then finish the upgrade ???
What could corse that. On everything else the network works just fine ?????

Sounds strange. Maybe there's something wrong with the built in file retrieval mechanism.
Take a look /etc/pacman.conf and edit it to make pacman use wget to retrieve files. Hopefully that fixes it.

On my desk I have a workstation.

one good thing abt pacman is if the power fails and we were at 98%, it continues where we left

It happened the same as I install openoffice: 98% and stopped. Than ctlc-c and run pacman again and it works.

Does it freeze while downloading?
Have you already tried to use snarf instead of wget? Info is in the wiki
