It's a pain to try and get the download URL for an AUR package sometimes. Having to fire up a browser is not always convenient or even possible, especially early in your install. I made this site after getting fed up with this annoyance during an install I was doing this morning. Enjoy.

So:
git clone https://aurget.net/foo.git
vs.
git clone https://aur.archlinux.org/foo.git
Not sure if one word less is worth using a 3rd party site over...
edit: the first doesn't even work, as it only allows .tar.gz archives.

Mods are just community members who have the occasionally necessary option to move threads around and edit posts. -- Trilby

There is no git support, though it'd be trivial to add. It's not worth it considering the git URL you pointed out.
The site just 302s you over to the AUR proper for downloading tarballs and redirecting to the AUR page, so it's not really a 3rd party download so much as it's a URL shortener.
In any case, suit yourself. It scratches my itch so I posted it here in case it scratches anyone else's itch.
