I finally went to the trouble of making my Arch + Plasma installation pretty. However, I have one issue remaining. I would like SDDM to smoothly transition to the Plasma splash screen with no blank screen appearing at any time.
When I boot the computer and attempt my first login in SDDM, the screen will go blank before displaying the Plasma splash loading screen. The transition between the splash screen and the desktop itself is smooth.
The thing is, if I log out (not reboot) and try to log back in, SDDM now smoothly transition into the splash screen with no pause for a blank screen so it seems everything is set up correctly for what I want. It just doesn't seem to work if Plasma is being launched for the first time.
Anyone know how to fix this issue? Thanks for any help in advance!
