After running "systemctl poweroff" or shutdown from LightDM it hangs with error messages
info: task kworker/1:0:17 blocked for more than 120 seconds.
info: task shutdown:1 blocked for more than 120 seconds.
see also a screenshot. I'm positive that this is caused by kernel upgrade because I changed versions between 4.6.3-1 and 4.6.2-1 several times and shutdown of 4.6.2-1 works. I don't know how to debug this, what logs to watch. Logs are cleaned after reboot. What are those "tasks"? Processes? Kernel threads?

Solved in the kernel 4.6.4-1.

Actually, it is not solved. With kernel 4.6.4-1, it reboots if I disable LightDM, and it does not reboot if I start and stop LightDM.

Solved by disabling coredumps in "/etc/security/limits.conf".
