Hello all,
in the light of the recent update to GNOME 3.20 I decided to post here instead of in 'Laptop Issues'.
I updated to GNOME 3.20 (X.org) on my Thinkpad X240, removed xf86-input-synaptics and installed xf86-input-libinput.
All hotkeys except the Wifi-Hotkey work as intended.
Instead of toggling Wifi on/off, it always turns airplane mode ON. I then must disable it via menu.
Any ideas?
Regards,
Maik

The wifi hotkey is set by default to enable airplane mode yes. This is the designed behavior. For me pressing it repeatedly cycles it in and out of airplane mode (which implies the wireless card and Bluetooth are disabled), no need to disable via menu.

I don't really know what I'm doing.

Thanks!
So the questions is why it doesn't toggle it off.
# libinput-debug-events

event8 KEYBOARD_KEY +3.12s KEY_WLAN (238) pressed
event8 KEYBOARD_KEY +3.12s KEY_WLAN (238) released

looks normal for a single button press. Any further ideas?

I'm experiencing the same (T450s). This definitely seems like a bug, probably should be reported upstream.

Confirmed on an AOpen 1557 from 2004 running latest Arch as of today.
I can turn Airplane Mode on using the button, I can double tap the button
and Gnome will say Airplane Mode disabled, but Wifi will stay off.
