Steam: Hurtworld crashes on start up

I'm trying to get Hurtworld working on my system. When I start the game in steam a black window appears and disappears after a while. This is the output I get:

Not much useable information apart from that failed module load. Have you tried (for the sake of trying) to disable the Steam game overlay and see if that makes a difference?

Yes, I tried to start the game with the steam overlay disabled, same output. I have no more information and I don't know what to try, that's why I am asking

Why is your keyboard recognized a joystick?? I would unplug all joysticks, keyboards, mice, and additional peripherals (less the keyboard and mouse required to run the system) and then launch the game again.


I am diagnosed with bipolar disorder. As it turns out, what I thought was my greatest weakness is now my greatest strength.

Everyday, I make a conscious choice to overcome my challenges and my problems. It's not easy, but its better than the alternative...
