Is it possible to disable the gxine plugin for mozilla/firefox without actually removing gxine?
I'm aware I can edit/delete the actual plugin files, but this isn't satisfactory since a gxine update will put them right back to normal. I do like gxine as a player, but not as a browser plugin. I personally prefer mplayer plugin for mozilla/firefox, which is installed, but gxine plugin is still taking precedence in the browser.
If I need to I can exchange gxine for xine-ui, but I had hoped to keep gxine.

You should be able to put the files in a NoUpgrade statement in /etc/pacman.conf. Then they won't be put back by the gxine update.
