[SOLVED] M11x Nvidia issues (UPDATE: OpenGL Bugged)

Hey, everyone!

I'm a former slack and ubuntu user, switching to Arch.
I've been trying to setup the nvidia card on an Alienware M11x R3 and I've found quite a bit on the R1 and R2 on the web, but unfortunately not much on the R3.

------- EDIT (DISCLAIMER): Please read my next post, the situation has drastically changed from the one below. ---------

Before it all began, the command 

glxinfo|egrep "OpenGL vendor|OpenGL renderer"

was returning my Intel integrated graphics as the vendor and renderer.

Now, at that point I noticed I didn't have a xorg.conf neither a xinitrc, so I generated both according to the wiki, which gave me a black screen. (I already have the nvidia drivers installed for the 540M and am using Cinnamon/GDM, btw)

I then added a few lines and files trying to setup optimus, as instructed by this link
Followed it all the way from the xorg.conf to the GDM and optimus.sh.

That made the black screen go away, but now I'm getting a warning that the system is running with no GPU, and that that's only recommended for debugging. Indeed, it's all very sluggish.

I would try switching to bumblebee as the service to choose between your graphics cards... It's also recommended to run xorg without configuration when using the optimus like features as described in the wiki.

This is your first error...are you using early KMS to load the modules (mkinitcpio.conf)?

Not that I'm aware of...

So, what I've done in the meantime was I deleted the files created in the link of the original post, and it all came back to standard, with no xorg.conf and no .xinitrc.

Since now it's all back to square one,

glxinfo|egrep "OpenGL vendor|OpenGL renderer"

Now reports:

OpenGL vendor string: Intel Open Source Technology Center
OpenGL renderer string: Mesa DRI Intel(R) Sandybridge Mobile

I then proceeded to follow the tutorial for the ACPI call on the R3 from the Arch Wiki M11x page, and installed bumblebee.

Now it's all running fine (no errors or crashes). The only problem is optirun does absolutely nothing. For example:

I doesn't crash, but it does absolutely nothing (not even an error message) when it comes to OpenGL. For other applications like the Nvidia Settings, Gedit, and Google Chrome, optirun works fine. Could this be just some OpenGL settings issue?

If you look at the bottom of the bumblebee wiki you'll see that it is a virtualgl bug and they recommend to switch to primusrun
