accelerate CPU after throttle

Hi all,

I have the following problem on my notebook: Sometimes, I hold my notebook a bit unfortunate and I accidentally have something in front of my ventilation shaft. This causes a little overheating and the kernel throttles the CPU. So far so good. But I how can I revert this? After I've put my notebook into a sane position again and everything has cooled down to normal temperatures, how to accelerate this beast again?

Sth like

sudo cpupower frequency-set -g performance

or

cpupower frequency-set -f2GHz

does not help. This

sudo cpupower frequency-info

gives me sth like this:

...
current CPU frequency: 633 MHz (asserted by call to hardware)
...

Any ideas?
