On a recent update, attempts to dl from the first mirror returned the error "less than 1MB/s ... last 10 seconds" or such. But of course it continued to try that mirror for every database and package. While it's easy enough to cancel the operation and remove the offending mirror, it would be nice if pacman were clever enough to ignore a mirror for the remainder of the operation after a (preferably configurable) number of failures.
I didn't see anything in pacman(8) or pacman.conf(5) suggesting anything like this is currently possible. If it is, please let me know. If not, maybe I will file a feature request on the bug tracker. Thanks.

But whether the Constitution really be one thing, or another, this much is certain - that it has either authorized such a government as we have had, or has been powerless to prevent it. In either case, it is unfit to exist.

Hey Alphaniner,
I don't think that there is a feature like that included into pacman.
You can try changing the mirror by following This article.
That or you could write a script that checks the integrity of mirrors.
