i3 - desktop notification

I am looking for a way to get all my application notifications (gmail, twitter, google + etc) in one place as a list of recent notifications.
For now, my notifications appear a few seconds in a pop up window. That's really annoying as I have too many notifications and don't have time to read the pop up. I do not want to extend the time the pop up stays.
Ideally, I am looking for something like a notification aggregator, which lists in a very basic manner my notifications (of course, just the header, title ...). It seems I can do this with conky, but maybe is there other way to achieve it.

Maybe try dunst? It has a history keybind.
