Can't seem to get KDE Plasma to boot properly

Hello all,

I have recently gotten Arch to work but I can't seem to get KDE Plasma to work.  I had successfully downloaded it and booted it before on a different install but now when I do it I immediately get sent to a blue screen that says "select your user and enter password."  The only other text is the date, time, and a drop-down bar that is set to Plasma Media Center but can be changed to Plasma.  Changing this to Plasma and rebooting takes me back to the same exact place.

I am thoroughly confused as to how this happened as last time it went off without a hitch, I can't access the terminal as far as I can tell so that complicates matters a bit.  If anyone can point me towards the solution I would greatly appreciate it, this means so much to me.

Also, here is a picture of the screen, I had to take a picture with my phone as my computer is currently locked up.

Re: Can't seem to get KDE Plasma to boot properly

Hi, i had the exact same problem yesterday.
Plasma doesn't allow root user to sign into the DE. so what i did was creating a user by my bootable USB.
i think that will solve it smile
look in here for making user and also don't forget to add your user to sudoers
