I am on lxde.
Not only the fonts have changed but the taskbar at the bottom's windows have changed to have some curly edges as well and the volume control slider has changed to some kind of embossed thing.
What would have caused this and how do I change it back? I don't need these prettifying things that waste resources. I guess it is one of the dependencies but if they are dependencies then how to install without them?
It has changed the fonts for the whole system. I installed
google-chrome
from the aur.
I can uninstall chrome but I would still like it installed for web design testing and suchlike; but minus this added junk it polluted my system with.

Read pacman's log and see what was pulled as a dependency.

Packages (7) cantarell-fonts-1:0.0.24-1 dotconf-1.3-4 gnome-themes-standard-3.20.2-1
python-xdg-0.25-3 snappy-1.1.3-2 speech-dispatcher-0.8.4-2
google-chrome-52.0.2743.116-1
If they are dependencies though then I can't install without them or I can somehow?
So I just did
pacman -Rs google-chrome
to try and get rid of them in the meantime. Did a reset and the taskbar frilly bits have gone now however the font for leafpad and firefox still are not back to normal.
Ah cool I just installed chromium and haven't had such issues of the extra bloat. Now just how to get my fonts back?
