ibus Chinese input method showing black blocks for candidate character

Please see the attached snapshot, I'm using ibus on KDE Plasma.
As you can see, the 1st candidate character(s) is just black blocks rather than sinograms.
Anyone knows the reason and resolution for this issue?

but where is the attached snapshot and did you enable local for chinese and did you install the language pack
please give us more information so we can help you

hello

I got the same problem and spent days on it.
Finally I realize that ibus can only run in gtk mode(/usr/lib/ibus/ibus-ui-gtk3),and my system is a full QT enviroment (QT/KDE).

so I tried change the GTK theme setting from Breeze to Default,and restarted ibus-deamon,and everything is back to normal.
(I don't use fcitx because that didn't work for steam games.ibus is the only way.)

Would you please explain more details on how to change to GTK theme?
I'm using KDE Plasma desktop environment, is there anyway to add the GTK theme to KDE Plasma?

I followed the wiki completed all related settings and modified corresponding files.
I have experience with ibus and fcitx on Ubuntu and CentOS, with similar steps and settings, the ibus works great on Ubuntu and CentOS, the "black blocks" issue only occurred on Arch Linux.
I've uploaded the snapshot of the issue for your reference.
