SLiM 'Failed to execute the command login'

Hello everyone,

I installed Xfce4 DE with simple log in manager, but whenever I try to login either as a root or as a user, it shows me this error message 'Failed to execute the command login'.

I was so frustrated with this as I meticulously followed every step written in Arch wiki, but then I decided to give a shot again. Guess what? It shows the error again. Any idea how to solve this problem? Also I would like to know about alternative login managers for Xfce4.

Any display manager should work with any desktop environment. Just pick one and see if it works any better: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/display_manager

Or you can edit your ~/.xinitrc and use the 'statx' command as instructed here: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Xfce#Starting_Xfce

Yeah I just figured that out. I installed gdm afterwards and it worked seamlessly.
