Gnome 3.20 Wayland crash launching apps.

TLDR: Closing a Gnome Wayland sessions, starting an Gnome Standard session, and closing and starting again a Gnome Wayland session; trying to launch any application causes a complete system freeze.

Hi guys. First of all, thanks for all people on this forum. I solved a lot of issues searching here, but I need you one more time.

Officially, Gnome Wayland session was here with Gnome 3.20, so I tried it again. Everything looks ok, so I'm thinking to use that as standard session.

So, next "cold" launch directly in Gnome Wayland, I saw that I couldn't launch a lot of gnome-apps (gnome-terminal, gedit, nautilus, etc). With the help of this post now I'm able to launch that with the ALT+F2 way.
But, this is so toilsome, so I'm trying to find an stable solution. Looking this post I tried looking for close my session, start a Gnome Standard session, close it again and starts again a Gnome Wayland session. SURPRISE! System frozen.

Trying again: power on, system autologin with the previous session (Gnome Wayland), close session, from GDM start a Gnome standard session, close session, from GDM start a Gnome Wayland session, try launching any application, system freeze.

Here is my journal -p"err" output:

Sorry, the journal -p"warning" was too long for posting it.

Re: Gnome 3.20 Wayland crash launching apps.

try removing xf86-video-intel if it's been installed.

quaelgeist, are you sure that is exactly the same error?
If I first try launch a gnome-wayland session, I could open some programs (firefox) and others none (nautilus, gedit), but system didn't freeze.
IF I first launch a GNOME-WAYLAND session, close and launch a GNOME STANDARD session, and then close session and launch again a GNOME-WAYLAND session, then, and ONLY THEN, system freezes when I launch any application.

I did that way for verify if gnome acts at the way as it's described at this post. My post was not exactly for looking for help, instead for comunicate that and put in common some information for reporting that.

Anyway, the initial problems (not be able to launch some applications) was solved in recent updates. Between that and now, I did a fresh install (for move some partitions and clean some things). I can't reproduce the error again so it seems fixed; now not sure if it was for updates or for the fresh install, sorry.

For your help and info, I'm using kernel linux44-4.4.19-1 and xf86-video-intel was installed and updated (xf86-video-intel-1:2.99.917+697+g12c14de-0.1).
