The extra repository

I cannot install most packages in the extra repository, since pacman fails to find them. I believe the repository index file (extra.db.tar.gz) is missing most of its entries.

Re: The extra repository

you mean arch64.org? you can switch back to the old and well filled repo at arch64.org in /etc/pacman.conf ;-)

Re: The extra repository

I've just read the announcements on arch64.org.
So what's the current situation? Where should pacman.conf point right now?

Re: The extra repository

right now you can already use the current repo at archlinux.org. moving current repo has been finished smile

you can still use the extra repo from arch64.org. but no updates will go there. we are just preparing the archlinux.org extra repo for use. it will take some days. some new and updated stuff is already only there available. but the repo is still not complete. meanwhile you should stay with arch64.org and only temporarly use archlinux.org for new stuff. there will be an official post when all stuff has successfully moved.

btw: meet us in IRC #archlinux64 ;-)

Re: The extra repository

no. the list for archlinux.org is this: http://pansy.at/arch64_todo.html

we are no more adding outdated packages from extra as we soon expect new versions coming from testing to current/extra. everyone is waiting for the new kernel...
