[Solved] Issue with pacman -Sw cachedir

I am running from install usb which has only one partition: fat32.
Packages is a folder in the install usb mounted to /root/repo

The code

 pacman -Suw vi --cachedir=/root/repo/Packages

returns
error: could not open file /root/repo/Packages/vi-1:070224-2-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz.part: Invalid argument

What should I do to get it right?

Thanks
