[Solved] KDE Plasma 5 - system settings, authentication problem

Hi,  I've upgraded my Arch and plasma from version 4  to  version 5 yesterday . Now my kdm is replaced by sddm.

I want to set autologin so I go into System Settings (systemsettings5) --> Startup and Shutdown --> Login Screen (SDDM) and click Apply. After that  I see Dialog Box with the title "Authentication Required" but only for 1 second and it dissappears. Settings are not stored.

I tired to run it from console and after I clicked Apply I got:

true
Ovr: ""
idx: 0
Save Failed
""
""

I also tried to run it using strace but I dont see nothing important. Any suggestions?

Have you got /etc/sddm.conf in your system? See: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/SDDM#Configuration
And about autologin: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/SDDM#Autologin

Re: [Solved] KDE Plasma 5 - system settings, authentication problem

I found there is something with polkitd:

Arch polkitd[396]: Operator of unix-session:c9 FAILED to authenticate to gain authorization for action org.kde.kcontrol.kcmsddm.save for system-bus-name::1.233 [/usr/bin/systemsettings5] (owned by unix-user:koralgolek)

Sitll dont know what should I do...

Finally I found source of the problem.

Setuid should be set on /usr/lib/polkit-1/polkit-agent-helper-1
