Reading amarok page i understood it depends on kdelibs, but not kdebase. Is there a reason why keeping it as a dependency?

It seems amarok provides a sidebar plugin for konqueror. Try starting amarok with kdebase removed from your system, if that works, amarok should have kdebase moved to the makedepends section.

In the dependencies in local I changed kdebase to kdelibs and deleted amarok in the requiered by fold of kdebase. Then I removed kdebase and kept kdelibs, just as suggested in amarok's page.
Everything is running well without kdebase in my system (i use xfce). I just noticed amarok takes a little longer to open and in some tasks like building database, but i guess it's because i used mysql and changed it to sqlite because of the build bug. Maybe i'll go back to mysql and let you know.
In two words: it works.

Right, with mysql everything is faster. I think it also uses less resources this way.
